AlphaTouch™ multi-family smartphone video-intercom system

March 1, 2019

February, 2019, Farmingdale NY -- Alpha Communications® announces the release of its new AlphaTouch™ multi-family smartphone video-intercom system.

AlphaTouch™ is designed to be THE low cost, smart video-intercom solution for today’s multi-residential, student housing and commercial buildings, and AlphaTouch™ offers an outstanding RMR opportunity for installing dealers.

The AlphaTouch™ system is an IP based, cloud-hosted, smart video-intercom system that allows residents to see and speak to visitors, and release the door, on their smartphone, using their AlphaTouch™ app. At its core, the AlphaTouch™ system features one or more 7.0” touchscreen door entry stations, for easy installation and years of trouble-free operation. The system provides audio and visual calls without the need for pricey video-intercom monitors and their related wiring, labor and power supply requirements.

In addition, AlphaTouch™ now also features the industry exclusive patent-pending analog integration, which allows AlphaTouch™ to work with virtually any existing analog intercom (or video-intercom) system, using the existing apt. stations and wiring.

The AlphaTouch™ system is available with a variety of features and capabilities, including:

  • Cloud hosted apps and visitor call logs; all updates are done online
  • Crystal clear 3MP 120° view camera with IP quality duplex audio
  • Access Control capability and time-limited visitor ‘virtual keys’ (QR codes)
  • All calls to residents and all access control activity is logged with images
  • Ability to call resident telephone numbers using VOIP
  • Outstanding RMR opportunity for installing dealers

The AlphaTouch™ system can handle any number of door entry stations and any number of building residents. The model AT700AS door station is a modern, sleek surface mount design, and protrudes a mere 1.25”off of the wall.

In addition, the AlphaTouch™ system installs quickly using standard CAT5/CAT6 cabling, which connects each door station to a PoE switch. The AT700AS door station has 3 built-in relays for door release, elevator controls, or other low-voltage applications.

When each visitor places a call to a resident, or enters an access code, or uses a prox. Tag/fob, the AlphaTouch™ system will take a snapshot of the visitor and record the image with the date and time and resident being called, and whether or not the door strike was activated. This visitor call log can be accessed by the authorities if needed, should there be a security incident in the building.

Smart phone apps for AlphaTouch™ are available for the Android and/or iOS type phones and tablets, and these apps will be updated in the future with more features and capabilities.

For over 35 years, Alpha Communications® has manufactured and supplied intercom, video-intercom, nurse-call, emergency-call, area of refuge, room status, telephone entry, bank teller queue, emergency phone and blue-light call systems.
