Refusing to participate in the much-advertised recession, more than 500 business owners and technicians enthusiastically participated in Intermountain Lock & Security Supply’s 2009 Los Angeles Conference & Expo held at the Universal City Hilton February 19-21st. A full slate of quality lock and security classes including “Storefront door servicing and repair” drove record attendance at the two-day educational conference.
At Saturday’s eagerly anticipated expo, the hall rocked with enthusiasm. Locksmiths took advantage of many unique, “Blockbuster”, deals. One vendor sold out an allotment of safes within 15 minutes. Joelle Arroyo of Plaza Lock & Key in Encino was thrilled to win a home theater system. Another highlight was the famous Intermountain hospitality. “This is the best food I’ve ever had at any locksmith event…ever!” asserted one attendee.
“We want to offer our customers and vendors sincere thanks for their support and provide a venue for them to network with each other, take advantage of learning opportunities and speak directly with the over 100 manufacturers who are here,” remarked Bob Steinmann, President of IMLSS.
“Our exhibitors have been very pleased, “said Mike Katz, Director of the Los Angeles branch. “One of them told me that ‘this show has restored my faith in tradeshows.’”
Intermountain has three more events planned this year in Denver, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. See details at www.imlss.com.
