Norton Rixson’s 73 Series Overhead Concealed Closer is a nonhanded, center-hung closer for double-acting applications where controlled closing is necessary and concealment is required. The 73 Series is suited for behavioral-health applications and has been designed to work with anti-barricade rescue hardware, which allows for rescue in the event a door is barricaded. This architectural-grade closer allows doors to be ADA-compliant and is all-weather fluid between minus-40 and 150 degrees Fahrenheit. It can be fit on exterior or interior doors up to 250 pounds set in aluminum, hollow metal or wooden door frames.
The 73 Series has a one-piece mounting plate over double doors that have adjustable springs that can be adjusted independently per door direction to meet unique application strength requirements. For even more flexibility, these closers have two closing-speed adjustments, sweep and latch, where latch-speed adjustments can be adjusted independently per door direction. These closers are available in 15 finishes for seamless integration into any space. For particularly corrosive applications, the 73 Series can be protected further by adding an SRI primer over the finish.
