KENT, WA — Nice | HySecurity, global leaders in smart-home and gate automation, announced the first North American gate operator with a full-featured smartphone installation app. The SwingSmart™ and SlideSmart™ CNX operators represent a collaborative redesign based on the highly successful HySecurity SmartDC™ electromechanical gate operators, placing full-featured connectivity into the hands of installers and end-users alike.
Installing and managing a security gate has never been easier or more efficient. The SmartCNX controller provides a familiar user interface in a thoughtful design that makes it easy to achieve a clean, professional installation. SmartCNX is rich in I/O connections with five programmable inputs for sensors, detectors or any other kind of access control, four slots for HySecurity Hy5B vehicle detectors, and a Nice BlueBUS port for sensors and accessories. The new SmartCNX smartphone installer app connects wirelessly to the operator to provide a powerful and simple installation tool. And integrated HyNet™ technology enables users to remotely monitor and manage their gate from anywhere with an internet connection. The new SwingSmart and SlideSmart CNX operators use brushless DC motors and direct-drive gearing, offering more power at lower speeds for exceptional control of gate starts and stops and allowing for faster obstruction detection.
“SmartCNX equipped operators represent a shift in industry standards,” said Pete Haikio, CEO of Nice | HySecurity. “Connected gate operators are the entry point to a smart home. These operators bring together trusted HySecurity engineering with cutting-edge technology from Nice to meet customer needs and enable an array of new solutions.”
SmartCNX controllers are a collaborative joint-venture between Nice | HySecurity product and engineering teams, designed to connect and automate gate applications. With the most connectivity of any controller in the market, SmartCNX enables an opportunity for gate operators to become part of IoT ecosystems through connectivity-at-the-gate and smartphone controls.
