Dortronics Systems, Inc. introduces two surface-mount back boxes for use with the company's piezo switches and other door control devices. Available in single gang back box and a narrow jamb mount box styles, the two new back boxes expand installation flexibility and can be used indoors or outdoors in a harsh environment.
SS5000 Series Surface Mount Back Boxes feature radiused corners and a brushed 630 finish to complement contemporary door frames and hardware. Mounting of the heavy duty, stainless steel boxes is easy using the included hardware and plastic plugs for two ½ inch in diameter wiring knockouts and earth ground. The Narrow Jamb Mount Box (#SSN500351) is only 1 ¾ inch wide; the Single Gang Back Box (#SS500351) is 2 ¾ wide. Both measure 4 ½ inch tall and 1 ½ inch deep.
