NEW HAVEN, Connecticut, July 7, 2015 —ASSA ABLOY IP-Enabled Campus Access Control Locks with HID Mobile Access® support have been named a winner of the 2015 Commercial Integrator BEST Awards.
The Commercial Integrator BEST Awards recognize superlative solutions for integrators. Judging criteria is based on innovation, functionality, competitive advantages, and benefits to the installer. The winners of the annual BEST Awards are chosen by a panel of industry experts, integrators, and the editors of Commercial Integrator.
IP-enabled PoE and WiFi campus access control locks from ASSA ABLOY Group brands Corbin Russwin and SARGENT combine HID® multiCLASS SE® technology with a magnetic stripe reader, offering simultaneous support for multiple credentials. Ideal for universities, these locks allow an easy transition to any contactless credentials and HID Mobile Access®.
HID Mobile Access® powered by Seos® provides an easy, intuitive solution for securely issuing, delivering and revoking digital credentials on iOS and Android mobile phones and tablets with Bluetooth® Smart and/or NFC technology.
IP-enabled campus access control locks like the Corbin Russwin Access 700 and SARGENT Passport 1000 allow campuses to use existing IT infrastructure to simplify installation and expand their access control systems easily and affordably. Using the facility’s Ethernet network, Power over Ethernet (PoE) locks provide full online access control with standard network cabling and minimize energy consumption. Ideal for adding access control to areas of a building that would be too difficult or costly to wire, WiFi locks use 802.11b/g/n infrastructure to significantly reduce hardware and labor costs.
“Our IP-Enabled Locks with HID technology provide integrators with tremendous value that they can pass along to end users because of their flexibility accommodating multiple credential platforms. Integrators can deploy this technology confidently knowing it is highly scalable and provides a clear upgrade path without an additional investment in hardware,” stated Mark Duato, Vice President, Integration Solutions, ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions.
“We are continually amazed at the level of creativity in the design, innovation and technology exemplified by these award winners,” said Tom LeBlanc, Editor-In-Chief, Commercial Integrator. “The BEST Awards celebrate the highest achievements in AV integration, and selecting one organization that stands out above the rest is incredibly challenging. We are pleased to be able to celebrate their achievements.”
