ASSA ABLOY Electronic Security Hardware Recognized with Prestigious 2018 Green GOOD DESIGN Award
Phoenix, Ariz., May 15, 2018 — ASSA ABLOY Electronic Security Hardware today announced the Securitron M680E Magnalock® with EcoMag® Technology was awarded the 2018 Green GOOD DESIGN Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in the Green Product/Graphic Design category.
The Green GOOD DESIGN Awards recognize manufacturers and design firms that are leading the way and developing awareness around sustainability and the environment.
The Securitron M680E EcoMag delivers unsurpassed intelligence, style and convenience. The new energy efficient magnalock has an increased holding strength of 1,200 lbs., and an average power draw as low as 60mA at 24V, allowing for use of smaller backup batteries and longer wire runs of thinner wire. This change in power represents a total reduced energy consumption of 80 percent over the previous Securitron M680 series.
