The enhanced version of the Genetec Security Center software that includes Medeco XT integration allows users to manage electronic access control (EAC) and XT lock and key hardware, including the Identification and Programming Device (IPD), from a single interface. All XT schedules, audit events, administrative tasks and more are programmed from Genetec Security Center.
Managing an EAC system and a key system always have presented two separate challenges for end users. The introduction of the Genetec-XT integration in 2019 created a powerful solution that brought these two separate worlds together. Genetec Security Center is a powerful platform designed to unify video surveillance, access control and automatic license-plate-recognition functions so they work as one. Within Security Center, end users can manage security policies, monitor events and run investigations.
Because a single interface is used, the user now has can leverage the power of Security Center with the Medeco XT solution. Associating a video camera to a Medeco XT cylinder so access-granted and access-denied events can be viewed on video is just the beginning of what you can do.
The Genetec/Medeco IPD can be installed anywhere and everywhere and allows end users to update their XT key quickly and easily. In a matter of seconds, the end user receives updated schedules while uploading audit activities to the Security Center audit trail database. Battery levels also are reported via the large touchscreen interface.
