Dortronics Systems Inc. introduces the ML-1100 Series Mortise Lock and Pull. Unveiled at ISC West, the electromagnetic mortise lock and aesthetically attractive door pull features a holding force of 1,000 pounds. The pull handle allows concealment of the locking hardware, making it an appealing option for lobby and vestibule entrances.
“Our new Mortise Lock and Pull was designed with both high security and aesthetics in mind,” said Bryan Sanderford, national sales manager, Dortronics Systems, Inc. “The result is a perfect combination that provides outstanding performance in an attractive package.”
While the fail-safe Dortronics electromagnetic locking device ensures instant release upon command or loss of power, the “direct pull” design provides maximum holding force for enhanced security. With no moving parts to wear, stick or bind, and no mechanical linkages to bend or break, locking and unlocking is accomplished with ease and efficiency. All fasteners are stainless steel and tamper-proof. With Dortronics’ in-house engineering expertise and production capabilities, the selection of plated or anodized finishes on the door pull can be custom engraved to architect’s or user’s specifications.
The ML-1100 Series Mortise Lock and Pull can be controlled individually or simultaneously from one or many locations. The status of the lock may be monitored by any card access system via the optional Magnetic Bond Sensor (MBS) which signals that the lock is properly energized and is holding. The well confined magnetic field allows these locks to be used in computer rooms and other electronically sensitive areas.
