HES 9400, 9500 and 9600 electric strikes are completely surface mounted, easy to install and require no cutting on the frame. They can be used on metal or wood frames, and are field selectable for fail-secure or fail-safe applications. They are UL1034 burglary resistant listed, and suitable for outdoor use. The cover and base are separate, making adjustments between fail safe/fail secure even easier.
The 9600 electric strike is the only surface mounted electric strike designed with the strength and durability required to exceed the severe forces of ANSI Windstorm testing. Designed on the same platform, the HES 9500 is ideal for applications where a three-hour fire rating is required.
The 9400, 9500 and 9600 series electric strike platform is designed to be easy to install, and to make installation even simpler HES has a 9000-MTK (Metal Template Kit) that adheres onto the frame to help you align the latchbolt of the rim exit device with the strike and determine where to drill the holes. It works with all three electric strikes by rotating the interchangeable keeper block on the metal template plate.
