Alarm Controls' Compact AES-300 Electric Strike

April 7, 2016

LAS VEGAS, NV – April 6, 2016 – Alarm Controls, an ASSA ABLOY Group brand, is showcasing its AES-300 electric strike, offering real value and flexibility in one compact product. This clever electric strike will be on display during ISC West 2016 at the Alarm Controls booth #6116.

Tiny for an electric strike, the AES-300 benefits are huge for installers. The small body design eliminates the need to cut out the dustbox, saving time and eliminating a majority of potential mistakes during installation. And its small size means it fits neatly into any size cutout, making it ideal for retrofit in medium duty applications. Each AES-300 strike includes the strike body and multiple faceplates to work with cylindrical locksets with ½” throw.

“A huge selling point of the AES-300 is that an installer doesn’t have to cut out the dustbox during installation,” said John Bendetto, General Manager, Alarm Controls. “With its small size and multiple faceplates, it also replaces almost every competitor cutout, so if someone has another strike and it fails, they can buy this one knowing it will fit.”

The AES-300 is a Grade 2 electric strike with a static strength of 1,000 lbs, dynamic strength of 50 ft-lbs. and completed factory testing to 500,000 cycles. The patented design features keeper shims for up to 1/4” horizontal adjustability and it installs easily in metal or wood frames.
