Salem, Va. (Sept. 26, 2011) – Medeco High Security Locks announces the launch of its new Web Hosting Solutions for Logic CLIQ and Nexgen XT, adding internet convenience and remote programming capability to support the manufacturer’s eCylinder products and further enhance functionality.
Medeco Web Hosting Solutions, which debuted at ASIS 2011 in Orlando, Fla., allow system administrators to remotely program Logic and Nexgen XT keys from nearly any location using web-based software. The supporting remote programming devices for either Logic or Nexgen XT keys connect directly to the network. When a key is placed in the programming device it automatically uploads audit information and downloads new access rights without the key holder ever needing to interface directly with the software or the internet. If desired, keys can be set to expire at predetermined dates and times to reduce liability, and then key holders can easily retrieve new access rights from one of the unattended programming devices.
“Medeco web hosting solutions offer a valuable added-benefit to our eCylinder product line,” said Joseph Kingma, Director of eCylinder Business Development. “Security management professionals can now remotely program keys and retrieve audit information automatically without having to visit the opening, ideal for installations that span large geographic areas or where access to keys or openings may be inconvenient. Our new web hosting solutions, especially our hosting capabilities, make this process easier and more efficient without limiting functionality.”
Medeco’s customer centric Web Hosting Solutions can provide U.S. based web hosting service and support for any size customer, whether the need is for five or 50,000 keys or more. Remote programming units are POE and connect to SSL encrypted servers. Some features vary by platform.
