LSI Introduction to Locksmithing

This is a new five-day hands-on introductory locksmith course, geared toward the beginner residential and commercial locksmith. This course begins with keys and locks and how they function, types available and how to identify products from different manufacturers. Basic pinning and disassembly of different locks will be reviewed in detail.  Students will learn proper installation, troubleshooting, and re-keying of knob-lock and deadbolts and spend a full day duplicating and code cutting keys. The course also covers basic bypass techniques: lock picking, cam lock impressioning, bumping and tool specific lock bypass, including the Lishi 2-in-1 pick and decoding tool.
