Solid Keys USA is a brand new, high-tech replacement automotive key manufacturing division of Louisville, KY-based iKeyless LLC. Founded in 2002, iKeyless specializes in the design, manufacture, wholesale distribution, and retail sale of replacement automotive keys and keyless entry remotes.
Solid Keys USA is America’s newest key producer and a genuine innovator, leveraging novel technologies to create products that help locksmiths streamline inventory and processes, as well as reduce costs.
The past decade has seen automotive key systems transition from traditional separate key/remote systems to integrated "remote-head keys”, directly contributing to skyrocketing inventory costs suffered by locksmiths. In response, Solid Keys is producing a series of the world's first universal “remote-head” keys. This technological breakthrough allows for many keys to be combined into a small series of keys, allowing locksmiths to dramatically reduce operating costs by decreasing the number of keys necessary to start and do business.
iKeyless began as one of the internet’s first retailers of replacement keyless entry remotes. In 2006, replacement keys were added, making iKeyless the internet’s first “one stop shop”, selling both keys and remotes. Today, iKeyless remains the world's leading online seller of replacement keys and keyless entry remotes.
In 2008, iKeyless purchased a second-hand van and experimented servicing business fleets and car dealerships. The division, now known as Car Keys Express, operates nationwide with employees in 35 states.
In 2009, iKeyless started what became Solid Keys USA as a humble product development effort. Two years later, production began on the first line of our own replacement remotes. In 2014, iKeyless/Solid Keys released the world’s first Universal Car Remote. The Universal Car Remote has been received enthusiastically by locksmiths across America.
The recent proliferation of low-quality, inexpensive, imported “remote head” keys with faulty software and hardware has challenged locksmiths’ operations and reputations. With the introduction of Solid Keys’ Universal Car Keys, locksmiths no longer need to expose themselves to these risks to earn reasonable profits.
