Many OEM manufacturers use one or two keyed alike code numbers for all of their locksets. These codes are usually taken from an existing lock manufacturers list. Another possibility is that the OEM manufacturer will have their own individual code series. Individual code series normally consist of a small amount of codes.
The following chart shows known OEM manufacturers with the code series and key blanks which are used. As original logo keys are brought into your shop for duplication, the following list can be used to easily determine the correct key blank. Code cuts for series shown in these lists have been collected by Locksmith Ledger. In almost all cases code numbers are printed on the face of the lock. Contact Locksmith Ledger for further information on key origination.
