Notable padlocks in the industry, such as the original Diskus, invented by ABUS, and the Granit, known as the most secure padlock in the world, have served as essential tools to preventing theft in many applications.
Another widely known padlock from ABUS is the 83 Series. The 83 Series is our famous rekeyable lock that has a variety of features that include fast rekeying, easy shackle changing, function convertibility and the development of NANO PROTECT plating for extreme corrosion resistance. Recently, ABUS expanded its 83 Series cylinder line with the addition of the M1, AL5 and AL6 cylinders. The M1 cylinder provides four pins and can be used in popular keyways found in the locksmithing field. In addition, the five-pin AL5 and six-pin AL6 cylinders can cover most standard keyways, which allows for easy compatibility with padlocks. Designed to work with the most revered padlock in the industry, the M1, AL5 and AL6 work in all standard-prep 83 Series padlocks.
In addition to expanding our cylinder line among the 83 Series, we also developed the 93RK/100 Monoblock padlock so it will accept all 83 Series cylinders. For the first time at ABUS, this padlock is certified in the highest European security class EN12320 Grade 6, thereby making it one of the most secure padlocks in our product range.
