In the late 1980s, industrial engineer Dennis Ma entered the lock business and developed products for the most recognized hardware manufacturers around the world. As his business began to expand, Dennis recruited a distinguished group of experienced hardware engineers — who, to date, have more than 105 years of combined experience — to further develop product offerings.
In the early 2000s, Dennis rolled out his own brand of behavioral health hardware and began to supply quality and dependable safety products to facilities worldwide. His new company, TownSteel, quickly became an industry leader in this product category and even helped to develop the BHMA (Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association) section for Grade 1 ligature-resistant door products.
Today, TownSteel offers a full line of mechanical and electrical locks, closers, panic devices and school lockdown systems. Their accomplished engineering team continues to advance a full line of access control locks and software systems, with partnerships across all industries. Known for their robust durability and diverse functionality, TownSteel products are assembled in the United States, in stock at their facility in California and ready to encompass the full range of demands for any architectural project.
