Paxton Installer App Wins Security Award

The international security technology manufacturer launched the Paxton Installer app in 2020, and it has been well received by Paxton’s installers globally. The app was recently named the winner of the GOVIES Awards 2024, in the category of Mobile Apps.

Gareth O’Hara, Paxton’s Chief Sales Officer, said: “We are extremely pleased to have this recognition for the Paxton Installer app. It was developed to make the working lives of our installers easier, and we are consistently updating it and adding extremely handy new features. It is an efficient must-have pocket tool for any Paxton installer.”

The simple-to-use app gives digital access from a smart device to Paxton’s bank of product specifications, technical documents, video installer instructions, as well as the helpful knowledge base. Installers can also connect to Paxton’s Support team of experts via the app, and link to their local distributor.

Another installer benefit is the ability to favorite link documents for quick access and share information with co-workers or end-users via email, text, Airdrop, or WhatsApp. All documents and videos are also available offline as they are downloadable within the app. This makes it possible to access information when there is no internet connection.

The Paxton Installer app is an all-in-one pocket tool that installers can also access Paxton Rewards, Paxton’s new customer loyalty program. Paxton Rewards allows installers to collect points by scanning Paxton products, attending their free product training, and collaborating on case studies with Paxton. The more points installers earn, the higher partner tier they achieve. This unlocks exclusive benefits, such as listing on the Paxton website and partner badges to show their Paxton expertise.

O’Hara added: “We decided to launch the Paxton Rewards Program and incorporate it into the app so installers can track their progress simply. The Rewards points they collect can be used to redeem Paxton products, branded items, or Amazon vouchers.

“Installers can also now use the new Commissioning tool, which helps save their time on site by installing and naming Paxton products at the same time. A file can be generated from the Paxton Installer app and imported into the Net2 software, enabling easy and quick commissioning of a site.”

The Paxton Installer app is free, and security professionals can download the app and register for Paxton Rewards from the App Store or Google Play.

Vingcard Hotel Door Locks Feature Latest in RFID Security and Mobile Key

Stockholm –Vingcard has announced a successful upgrade of its Vingcard Classic door locks at Radisson Blu Sobieski in Warsaw, Poland. An upscale property situated within the heart of Warsaw’s business district, Radisson Blu Sobieski by upgrading to Vingcard Classic RFID which will be enabled with Mobile Access, can provide its guests with the ideal combination of enhanced security and instant guestroom entry convenience.

Previously being equipped with magstripe-based Vingcard Classic locks meant that Radisson Blu Sobeiski could take advantage of the solution’s scalable design in order to adopt more secure RFID-based key encryption standards. This minimizes any potential risk of unauthorized keycard cloning and prevents keycard demagnetization issues from arising and affecting guest satisfaction. The property was notably able to upgrade to RFID capabilities without having to undergo the costly replacement of existing door hardware. Benefitting from a swift installation, Radisson Blu Sobieski also credits Vingcard technicians with providing seamless and responsive customer service which kept operational downtime to an absolute minimum.

Thanks to the brand’s scalable lock solutions and excellent customer service, property managers particularly praised Vingcard for providing them with the confidence of knowing that their guests and staff are always protected using the industry’s latest advances in security and data encryption. They also highly valued the opportunity of being able to activate Mobile Access, allowing the hotel to offer the enhanced convenience of digitalized check-in and room entry that more guests are coming to expect as an available service.

The activation of Mobile Access through the property’s Vingcard Classic locks will allow guests to skip front desk check-in lines and instead gain instant entry to their guestrooms by using personal devices as a secure electronic key. Depending on a property’s digital key deployment goals and needs, Mobile Access can be enabled as a standalone service or by being integrated with an existing guest-facing mobile app. For properties aiming to provide their guests with even greater convenience, Mobile Access can also provide the option of allowing guests to store and retrieve electronic room keys within digital wallets located on their smart device.
