New Options for dormakaba ICU300 Manual Sliding Door

INDIANAPOLIS – Given the unique door needs that hospitals require – whether it’s an opening large enough for patient transport or specialized openings for intensive care units – dormakaba offers a full range of door products to address those needs. Specifically, the ICU300/300T Healthcare Manual Sliding Door allows for continuous observation of patients, while providing quick and easy access during emergency conditions.

This year, dormakaba is rolling out two new optional features for its ICU300/300T and ICU200/200T (with partial breakaway): self-closing panels and electric shutter strike for access control. Self-closing panels are a convenient solution that ensures a door is not inadvertently left open while electric shutter strikes ensure the door automatically returns to a locked position when it is closed. Additional optional features include remote panel status monitoring and specialty finishes.

“Healthcare facilities need to satisfy a host of complex security requirements as well as maintain an environment that is comfortable and conducive to healing,” said Tasha Birdwell, AVP product marketing at dormakaba. “dormakaba offers innovative, high-quality solutions and tailored local resources for installing, modernizing, and servicing automatic and manual doors and door hardware for hospitals large and small.”

ICU300 healthcare doors are available in a wide range of sizes, configurations, and finishes. Single, bi-parting, or telescopic doors are available with either two, three, four, or six panels and full or partial breakaway. A recessed track or trackless guide system allows for easy operation with or without a floor track. In addition, the door is capable of emergency egress of the sliding and fixed panels when required. Emergency release hardware allows for the door to swing out in the direction of egress when pushed.
