CARMEL, IN, June 4, 2012– Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies is conducting a contest from now through July 31, 2012, for respondents who review the new Von Duprin® Concealed Vertical Cable System information and submit a 300-word or less anecdote on “What excites you most regarding the new Von Duprin Concealed Vertical Cable System?”
One winner will be chosen from the submitted essays to receive a Club Car XRT 4x4 Utility Vehicle, which uses a cable system very similar to that of the new Concealed Vertical Cable System.
“We think most contestants will tell us how the new Concealed Vertical Cable System will significantly reduce their installation time and maintenance concerns,” says Joseph Vaida, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies portfolio marketing manager – mechanical. “However, we hope some of the contestants come up with other ways this new system will help them.”
By going to the Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies website, clicking on the contest or going directly to http://w3.securitytechnologies.com/ads/cvc/Pages/default.aspx, entrants can review marketing materials, a fact sheet, and videos on the new Concealed Vertical Cable System, which eliminates frustrations with traditional concealed vertical systems. Instead of installing and adjusting vertical rods, the installer simply inserts and secures the flexible cable latching system into the door before the exit device is installed. Once the latches are secured in the top and bottom of the door, the user installs the exit device and quickly attaches it to the cable latching system. During the entire two to three minute installation process, only one point of adjustment is required.
The winner will be announced in early August and presented with a Club Car XRT 4x4 utility vehicle, which is built from the ground up to withstand the punishment of rough terrain. From the lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum frame to the 4-wheel, hydraulic disc brakes, the Club Car XRT is designed to thrive in even the toughest conditions, just like the Von Duprin Concealed Vertical Cable System.
