Lockmasters Partners with Dominus Capital, Names Steven Wolf New Chief Operating Officer
On Sept. 1, 2020, Lockmasters partnered with Dominus Capital L.P., a leading middle-market private-equity investment firm that focuses on management-led buyouts and growth capital investments in the business services, light manufacturing and consumer sectors. As a third-generation family-owned business, the Miller family is cemented in the security industry, and they invested alongside Dominus to participate in the ongoing growth of Lockmasters. The Lockmasters team is excited for the opportunities this partnership will afford for expansion and technological advances.
Introducing Steven Wolf as Chief Operating Officer
Steven Wolf comes from a deep-rooted history in the security industry, beginning his career in 1980 with IDN Armstrong’s, a nationally recognized locksmith supply distributor, located in Atlanta. During his 16-year tenure, he gained experience in the wholesale distribution business, which has been beneficial when transitioning to the manufacturing sector.
In 1996, Wolf joined Ilco-Unican, a global security products manufacturer. At Ilco-Unican, Wolf was responsible for wholesale distribution of Ilco-Unican’s complete line of security products including key machines, keys, cylinders and push-button locks. In early 1998, Wolf began a new chapter with an innovative newcomer in the security industry, Mas-Hamilton Group, as director of sales. He was responsible for business development activities for the self-powered PowerLever door lock product.
During his 22-year tenure, the industry experienced considerable consolidation (Mas-Hamilton Group, Kaba and dormakaba). Throughout the transitions, Wolf held senior management positions in sales management, international business development and commercial / government safe lock product development. Prior to joining the Lockmasters team, Wolf held the position of president of Kaba Mas LLC.
Wolf also is involved in his community of Lexington, Kentucky, serving on the board of directors for the Hearing and Speech Center, and is a member of the Bluegrass Chapter of Industry Security Professionals. He resides in Lexington with his wife, Kelly.
