Signal Blocking Key Hider

Oct. 2, 2019

Lucky Line Products, Inc. introduces the Signal Blocking Key Hider, featuring RFID-blocking fabric to prevent transmissions of wireless signals from your hi-tech key fobs. Smart keys and smart key fobs constantly emit a signal looking to connect to a vehicle. The signal allows the doors to automatically unlock and the “Push to Start” button to work. The Signal Blocking Key Hider is designed for the many instances where you do not want to activate these features such as when hiding a spare key, unintentional unlocking of vehicle, multi-user business vehicles, preserving the battery life on the smart key fob, and preventing car theft. Simply place your smart key or smart key fob into the pouch to block the signal. The key hider can be mounted onto any secure and clean surface on your car, and sealed with the strong hook and loop flap closure. Once mounted, the pouch can be attached or detached when necessary.

Since the Signal Blocking Key Hider blocks automatic communication with your vehicle, it also allows you to stow your keys inside your vehicle, so you can intentionally leave your keys in the car and keep expensive key fobs safe from the elements while at the beach, hiking, etc. When you return, use the entry keypad code to gain access to the vehicle.

Using RFID blocking technology, this unique pouch also stops car thieves from stealing your car from the driveway. In a relay attack, thieves amplify the signal from the key fob in the house to trick the car’s keyless entry system into thinking the key is in the thieves’ hand. By placing the key fob inside the pouch while at home, the RFID blocking material prevents transmission of the wireless signal, thus, preventing hackers from acquiring your wireless key fob signal and stealing your car.

The patent-pending Signal Blocking Key Hider pouch, Item # 91801, measures 4-5/8” (H) x by 3” (W). The Key Hider is sold 1 per box and comes in packs of 5. The display, Item #91800, measures 4” (W) x 6-1/4 (H) x 6-1/2” (D) and comes with 12 boxes per display. The pouch includes a key ring attachment to easily secure to bags, backpacks or key rings.
