Framon Manufacturing Acquires Blue Dog Keys
Alpena, MI, – Framon Manufacturing Company has reached an agreement with the estate of Liam Gribben, former owner of Blue Dog Keys. Mr. Gribben died suddenly in June of 2016 and Blue Dog Keys ceased operations at that time. Framon Manufacturing has purchased the assets of the company including key blank inventory, trademarks, and other business inventory.
“Everything is finally back up and running as of March 1st.” said Phil Agius, VP of Sales & Marketing at Framon, “In addition to manufacturing key cutting machines since 1967, we have also operated a full-time locksmith shop since 1965, so we are quite familiar with the various types of key blanks in the industry. Together our employees have over 100 years of experience and we feel BDK will be an excellent fit.”
Framon plans to enhance the current BDK website, continue relationships with the existing customer base and build the business, including the “Key Detective” side to find odd blanks not provided elsewhere.
