LockeyUSA introduced six products coinciding with the launch of its SUMO line of surface-mount gate hardware products. The line was first displayed at the American Fence Association’s FENCETECH 2020.
LockeyUSA consistently focuses on bringing products to market with installers and end users in mind. After the successful debut of the SUMO GL2 Surface-Mount Lock at FENCETECH 2019, LockeyUSA created the SUMO line to showcase its wide variety of surface-mounted products.
“If a product says SUMO, you can trust it can be easily installed or retrofit in the field,” says Scott Wojcik, LockeyUSA’s vice president. Each product in the SUMO line was designed specifically to provide a simple gate hardware solution.
New SUMO product offerings include:
- PGL-50 – Pool Gate Latch
- PGL-25 – Perimeter Gate Latch
- SGL-SS – Gravity Latch, Single Sided
- SGL-DS – Gravity Latch, Double Sided
- SSC – Self-Closing Hinges
- SSCHD – Self-Closing Hinges, Heavy Duty
Existing LockeyUSA products that were transitioned into the SUMO Gate Hardware line include hydraulic gate closers, panic hardware kits and chain-link adapter LINX products.
“Unlike other manufacturers, LockeyUSA only sells through distribution.” says Doug Hill, president of LockeyUSA. “Our SUMO line of top pulls, gate hinges and gravity latches give distributors the opportunity to create additional sales without competing with manufacturers who sell direct.”
The SUMO name derives from the ability to be SUrface MOunted. SUMO products keep intruders out of the perimeter, like how a sumo wrestler’s aim is to force his opponent out of the ring.
