ABLOY USA and Anixter Announce Distributor Partnership for Critical Infrastructure Hardware
Irving, TX – July 8, 2019 – ABLOY USA has entered into a National Distributor partnership with leading global distributor Anixter, Inc. (NYSE:AXE) to expand brand awareness in the Critical Infrastructure market. The agreement means more attention from a wider audience for mechanical and electromechanical high security products such as the award-winning intelligent key system ABLOY PROTEC2 and PROTEC2 CLIQTM.
“This new partnership with Anixter is an important step as part of our marketing strategy. It fortifies the commitment to increasing our brand visibility in market sectors where high security is imperative, and we’re focused on making our distributor network stronger every day,” said Jerry Burhans, U.S. Managing Director for ABLOY USA.
“There is end-user demand in the critical infrastructure segment for new, technologically advanced and user-friendly solutions like the PROTEC2 brand line, the longest patented key system in the U.S. with cylinders that are basically pick and bump proof. We have devoted resources with five vertical market managers and independent sales representatives who will partner with Anixter’s branch offices and salespeople to direct more attention to these types of high security solutions.”
“Anixter is proud to be partnering with ABLOY in the U.S. market to expand our locking hardware solutions,” said Beau Edelen, Vice President of Locking Solutions at Anixter.
“This exciting partnership enables us to offer our locksmith customers across the U.S. fast and easy access to the world’s largest brand of high security keys and cylinders through our national branch network, online ordering, and via our team of local sales reps. Since acquiring CLARK Security Products in 2010, Anixter has continued to listen to the locksmith and security markets, and it has evolved to meet the changing needs of the customers served in these markets.”
Founded in 1957 with headquarters in north suburban Chicago, Anixter adds value to the distribution process. With branch locations and warehouse space in over 300 locations and about 50 countries, the company will provide access to ABLOY USA’s products to approximately 130,000 customers.
