Borg Locks has issued a heavy-duty lock range, the BL7000 ECP Series. The series is suited to retrofit or new construction where a heavy-use solution is required. The BL7000 ECP shares the same door prep as the dormakaba Simplex 1000 and 5000 Series, as well as the Borg BL5000 Series. An optional pair of 3-by-10-inch cover plates that have a deep recess for the lock body to fit are available to cover all previous surface outlines.
BL7000 ECP features include the patented ECP 10-second code change that requires no removal of the lock from the door or any disassembly and a free-turning vandal-resistant “clutch” lever or knob handle that engages when the correct code is entered. The locks also are fitted with a small-format interchangeable core (SFIC) cylinder prep key override in the lever or knob handle.
All BL7000 ECP Series locks are supplied with the passage function option actuated from the keypad sides without the use of any tools. This allows users to pass through the door without having to enter the code each time.
The locks are supplied standard with a heavy-use tubular latch available in 2-3/8-inch or 2-3/4-inch backsets. BL7000 ECP Series locks are available in stainless steel for internal or sheltered external environments and a black Marine Grade Pro 2 surface coating, which has been extensively salt-spray tested in excess of 1,000 hours.
