NEW HAVEN, CT, October 10, 2012 — At ASIS 2012, the HES K100 Cabinet Lock was honored with a 2012 ASIS Accolades Award. “The ASIS Accolades Award is an honor and a testament to the culture of innovation at HES and across the entire family of ASSA ABLOY brands. The HES K100 addresses the need for a high quality security solutions for difficult to secure applications in healthcare and business facilities,” stated Michael Webb, Vice President of Product Development, ASSA ABLOY EMS&OEM Group.
Aperio is a global, wireless platform that provides an easy, affordable way to connect additional openings to an existing electronic access control system. It uses short-distance wireless communication (IEEE 802.15.4) between the lock and an Aperio hub to link to an electronic access control system. This simplifies the overall installation, reducing costs and complexity in comparison to traditional access control.
