Yale2You.com makes it easy for consumers to find Yale products that best meet their needs.

NEW HAVEN, CT, April 2, 2013 – Yale residential locks and hardware are now available direct to consumers with the launch of Yale2You.com, a new e-commerce site from Yale Locks & Hardware that offers consumers the opportunity to shop a variety of Yale residential products and provides tools to help consumers plan projects.

The new site, which launched today, makes it easy for consumers to find the Yale product that’s right for their needs, whether embarking on a remodeling project or looking for the perfect item to complement their existing décor.

On Yale2You.com, consumers can browse the Yale line of keyless locks, deadbolts, knobs, handlesets, levers and accessories. To easily find which product best meets their needs, consumers can search by product type or function, and filter results by finish – polished brass, satin nickel or oil rubbed bronze permanent.

But the site offers more than just shopping. Yale2You.com also offers design inspiration. The site allows consumers to create a collage or mosaic working with Yale-provided images of products, artwork, décor items, colors, and shots of home interiors and exteriors. What’s more, consumers can upload their own images and mix and match Yale products to see how it all comes together. Yale2You.com will also soon offer a Project Planner to help the consumer inventory the spaces and doors in their home so they know exactly what needs to be ordered.

“In creating Yale2You.com, we wanted to offer consumers the opportunity to buy hardware online from a trusted brand, and at the same time make it easy and fun for them to find and buy the items they need to complement what might have been provided by their contractor or integrator, or what they purchased at their local retailer,” said Jason Williams, General Manager of Yale Residential.

Because the Yale product line includes a wide variety of products, collections and finishes, a key objective in designing the site was to make it easy for consumers to navigate and find exactly what they needed. Yale tapped IdentityMine, an interactive design, software development and user experience company.

"IdentityMine has had an amazing experience working with the Yale Locks and Hardware team to develop their first ever e-commerce site,” said Mark Brown, IdentityMine CEO. “We’re especially proud of the site’s clean design aesthetic and intuitive user experience. It’s as visually stunning as the products that are featured. We worked very closely with the Yale Locks team to design a site that would simplify the shopping experience for what is a very comprehensive line of household lock and key products."
