DORMA Releases Next Generation Cylindrical & Interconnected Locksets

Jan. 19, 2015

Reamstown, PA - DORMA Americas introduces its C300 Series and J300 locksets for apartments, assisted living facilities, hotels, condominiums, and light commercial buildings. The C300 and J300 are economy, ANSI/BHMA - certified Grade 2 cylindrical lever locksets geared for light-duty, price-sensitive commercial applications.

Built to meet the needs of hardware distributors and the general contractors, property managers, and building owners they support, the new C300 Series and J300 Series locksets offer commercial-grade reliability at a residential-grade price point. With easy installation, callbacks can be eliminated, while retaining the aesthetics and functionality the applications demand.

“We’re very excited about the release of the new C300 Series and J300 Series,” said Andy Zook, Product Manager, DORMA Americas. “This combination of commercial-grade reliability, sleek design, and affordability is a great fit for customers who demand high-value products.”

The C300 is perfectly suited for multi-unit buildings and light commercial applications. Its commercial-grade reliability comes from a sturdy cylindrical lock chassis. Along with an optional three-hour fire-rated latch bolt, the C300 comes with new functionality including the addition of keyed entry and patio functions, as well as a true kickoff/restoring latch on the privacy function, which unlocks when the door closes rather than when the inside lever is rotated.

Replacing the C400 Series, the C300 Series lockset features concealed fasteners on the rose, support for door thicknesses ranging from 1-3/8”–1-3/4”, and a variety of available finishes.

The J300 is also a perfectly suited for multi-unit buildings and light commercial applications. Its commercial-grade reliability features a sturdy and attractive cast-inside escutcheon and a minimalistic 2-2/8”-diameter rose. Available in a variety of finishes, the product fits both 4” and 5-1/2” lock bore centerlines, making it well-suited to a broad variety of applications. For a consistent design throughout a project, levers and roses on the J300 series and C300 Series cylindrical lockset are identical.

Along with a standard three-hour fire-rated latch bolt, all of the levers on J300 Series meet the requirements of the A117.1 accessibility code and ADA. The J300 Series lockset replaces the J200 Series.
