New LA GARD 700 Series Locks Optimize Performance

Dec. 21, 2020

dormakaba has refreshed its popular line of LA GARD electronic locks and keypads. The new five-model LA GARD 700 Series now has a modern keypad design that maintains the physical security of its longstanding locking mechanism and new features that meet and exceed market demands for personal, commercial, financial and government safes.

The new LA GARD 700 Series includes:

  • A modern, integrated keypad display for ease of operation and efficiency.
  • Easier programming on a large scale.
  • Improved battery life and quicker exchange.
  • Updated software for robust management.
  • Mobile access with a Bluetooth Low Energy key fob as a second credential or time-delay override.

“By simultaneously simplifying and improving the overall LA GARD platform, we’ve responded to the most requested product improvements from our customers,” says Dan Baczkowski, global product manager, dormakaba. “This design represents a new era in the LA GARD story and is poised for additional development and expansion.”

The LA GARD 700 Series product line allows users to start with its standard model and upgrade by replacing the control unit. The entire lock doesn’t have to be replaced to gain access to the advanced functions in each tier. Additional options include a low-profile keypad, easy bolt switch and deadbolt configurations and an extended warranty. The top tier includes Bluetooth technology. All tiers feature a low-profile keypad that uses a separate box for two 9-volt batteries.

The locks are available in swingbolt, deadbolt, springbolt and redundant-lock designs and are aimed at residential, retail and light-commercial use.
