New Geared Hinges Add Functional Versatility to Access Solutions

New continuous geared hinges from dormakaba’s BEST brand provide additional security options, enhanced performance and expanded functional versatility. The BEST Continuous Geared Hinge line now includes 15 profiles for a true hospital tip solution, including a removable or replaceable quick connection and several solutions for 2-inch thick doors and doors or frames that have a frame inset of three-thirty-seconds of an inch.

BEST Continuous Geared Hinges are available in full mortise, half mortise and half surface. Heavyweight and standard-weight versions are available. These hinges are made of 6063-T6 aluminum, easy to install and designed to last for the life of the building. The hinges also feature heavy-duty bearings. The exact number of bearings varies depending on product length ordered.

All models conform to the ANSI/BHMA A156-26-1996, Grade 1 Standard. All have been tested and certified by Underwriter Laboratories to the UL10C Standard.
